There are many start-up awards - the ACHEMA Start-Up Award is unique:
Entrepreneurs who are planning to found a company or have already done so after 1 July 2012 were invited to participate in the ACHEMA Start-Up Award 2015.
Besides the chance to carry away the victory in the competition, participants had access to mentors and investors from the very beginning (if they were able to present a complete business plan).
First phase: Ideas
Entrepreneurial scientists and researchers with a business idea but no detailed concept were introduced to a mentor. He provided advice for the concept development.
Second phase: Concepts
Whether created in- or outside the competition, concepts were submitted in the second phase. The mentors again gave support during the development of the business plan.
Third phase: Business plan
With the business plan ready, but the ACHEMA maybe yet months away, participants had the chance to present their concept to potential investors.
No matter which phase of the competition they entered, all participants that had their business plan ready in time entered the selection process. An expert jury selected the best business plans from each field. They were presented and discussed live with the jury.
Three winners from each field have the opportunity to present their ideas to the ACHEMA 2015 audience at a dedicated stand and build an international network.
In each field, one overall winner will be announced in the ACHEMA opening session - and be made known to exhibitors, participants and media from all over the world.
