48 STUDY COURSES FOR STUDENTS – TEACHER PROGRAMME – SCHOOL GROUPS ACHEMA Study Courses Teacher Programme Events for Pupils Monday, 15 June to Friday, 19 June 2015 Students from universities, universities of applied sciences and higher education institutions (including PhD students) can visit ACHEMA 2015 free of charge provided they have been registered as a group in advance and are accompanied by a member of their teaching staff to supervise the group at ACHEMA. Similarly, secondary school groups (recommended from 10th grade) can visit ACHEMA free of charge if they have been registered as a group and are accompanied by their subject teacher. Registered accompanying staff will receive a free season ticket for ACHEMA 2015. Travel and accommodation arrangements must be made by the student groups themselves. The teaching staff of the student groups are responsible for organising, preparing and consolidating the visit to ACHEMA; the organisers cannot offer guided tours. Pupils and students visiting ACHEMA on their own can purchase a reduced-price day ticket at the ticket offi ces on presentation of a valid student identity card. Monday, 15 June 2015 14:30 h Hall 9.2, Room Dialog What’s new in process engineering and biotechnology? How does this impact our everyday lives? Scientists from research and industry will present hot topics that you can integrate into your ACHEMA visit or your teaching. The exact topics and information on recognition as further education in the individual German federal states can be found at www.achema.de/studienzyklus. In the morning and after the lectures teachers are free to visit the Congress and Exhibition for their own information or to prepare a visit with a school group. Tuesday, 16 June and Wednesday, 17 June 2015, at 13:00 h Hall 4.C, Room Entente/Alliance What exactly is “the process industry”? How can you become a biotechnologist? At these one-hour information events experts will present study and career options. Process engineering, chemistry and biotechnology students will talk about their everyday life as a student and answer questions from the audience. Young professionals will describe their experiences at the beginning of their careers and give tips on how to make a successful career start.
