51 Guest Events VDI INFORMATION PLATFORM Information Platform for Production Engineers Friday, 19 June 2015 10:00 – 12:00 h Hall 9.2, Discussion Corner The “Information Platform for Production Engineers” is an initiative of VDI-GVC (The Association of German Engineers – Technical Division: Chemical and Process Engineering), addressing practiceoriented problems confronting production engineers and all aspects of the production plant. The concept, which facilitates a practice-oriented exchange of ideas and experience within a region, is now established in fi ve regional groups. It will be presented and moderated by experts. Moreover, typical tasks of production engineers, such as mobile maintenance, spare parts management, pumps as well as future subjects, will be explained and discussed based upon short contributions. The Information Platform for Production Engineers has made a name for itself as an active special interest group and a major training initiative. Production engineers meet regularly in the different regional groups and VDI working parties to discuss topical themes encountered in their working environment, build up a network and exchange practice-oriented ideas and information.
